MIICCI STRONGLY CONDEMN UNCIVILISED ACT OF SWEDISH POLITICIAN

Malaysian International Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MIICCI) strongly condemn the Swedish politician Rasmus Paludan, who burnt the Holy Quran outside of the Turkish Embassy office on Saturday in Stockholm.

This is an extremely uncivilised act that has touched the sensitivity of Muslims. It also has just sparked the anger of Muslims around the world. Whatever reasons he made up, it is totally unacceptable and irresponsible.
MIICCI urged the Malaysian government to call the Swedish Ambassador to express the firm stand of Malaysians and demanded an apology from the Swedish government for this incident.

MIICCI believed that the unethical act by Rasmus Paludan is not representing the stand of the whole Swedish people towards Islam. MIICCI urged Sweden to take proactive measures on the Islamophobia movement in the country.

MIICCI foresees if this issue has not been cleared up, most probably it will affect the trade and bilateral relationship between Malaysia and Sweden.

MIICCI invites all leaders around the world to look in depth towards Islam for a better understanding. Islam always promotes peace and harmony. Radical, extremist and hatred are far beyond the Islamic thoughts.
